The Lofts @ Brightwood on the corner of Georgia and Missouri Avenues is a great fine, a luxury condominiums 'uptown' (uptown is what the locals call the area) today is an oddity but not for long if the Urban Land Corporation plans are realized. A diamond in the ruff, being the first of the foretold many new additions to and area that has been target by the city for revitalization.

This building has a storied past much of it good but some of it downright ugly. Thinking back I remember seeing Curtis Mayfield perform when the Ibex nightclub stood on this corner. The building has undergone total renovation and not a hint of it prior histories remain. The Lofts feature one and two bedroom condominium and one and two bedroom lofts. Just like the rest of the luxury condominiums about town there is the high ceiling, floor to ceiling windows, granite counter, hardwood flooring, Berber carpeting etc. All the amenities needed to compete in the crowded Washington DC condo arena.

A Metro bus stop is located right out back on Georgia Ave giving easy access to downtown to the south or Silver Spring north. Parking is available for an additional $30k.

So now you can move north and get more for your money. Remember this Brightwood and not Columbia Heights or downtown (total revitalization of the area is slated for the near future) so you'll have to wait for the shopping and dining and other amenities available elsewhere. The only downside to the Lofts @ Brightwood that makes you wonder, Why! All the units have one bathroom - wait the lofts have 1.5.
